In Focus: After The Crash
Produced by Steve McEown, After the Crash profiles the lives of three Simcoe County families struggling with the loss of loved ones and the effect impaired driving has on the victims, their families, and their friends. Insightful interviews with Police departments and eyewitness accounts of crashes involving impaired driving are presented from their perspective; as seen through their eyes. Testimonial accounts from an individual who has been charged with impaired driving shed some light on how the consequences of drinking and driving can dramatically change one’s life both financially and emotionally due to the stigma attached with this kind of behaviour. Producer, Steve McEown says, “If this documentary can make one person think twice about getting into their vehicle after drinking alcohol, then we have done our job… that will be the measure of our success.” MADD Canada plays an important role in its effort to get the “Stay Alive Don’t Drink and Drive” message across to the public. They hope viewing the harsh realities and consequences of driving impaired will help future drivers make the right choice - The only choice - DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
