Thunder Bay Police Warn of Rising Car Break-Ins
Thunder Bay Police are warning residents about a sharp rise in car break-ins across the city. Constable Frank Tropea says thieves are no longer just checking for unlocked doors, they’re now smashing windows, with more than 100 reported since January. Officers say valuables left in plain sight, including laptops, wallets, and even passports, are driving the trend.
Police are urging residents to clear their vehicles of anything visible and report suspicious activity as break-ins continue to escalate.
