Sault Ste. Marie approves Pedal Pub Pilot Project
Sault Ste. Marie City Council approved a new Pedal Pub Pilot Project this Monday. City council agreed to authorize a two-year pilot allowing Pedal Pubs, described as "a multi-passenger, human-powered vehicle where the passengers provide the propulsion by pedalling a large, open-air, bike-like contraption designed for social gatherings, often used for bar crawls or tours.
The Ontario government agreed on June 27 to allow alcohol to be served and consumed on large quadricycles.
The city hopes to launch the Pedal Pub pilot later this summer, or at the start of summer 2026.
