Ontario Supports Employment for Underserved Groups in Thunder Bay
Ontario is investing $980,000 through the Skills Development Fund to support a Thunder Bay union’s efforts to train women and Indigenous people for careers in the skilled trades. The initiative will provide hands-on experience in construction and industrial sectors, helping participants gain meaningful employment. MPP Kevin Holland highlighted the importance of empowering underserved communities and building a stronger, more inclusive workforce in Northern Ontario.
