CRIBE Receives Federal Funding to Strengthen Forestry Industry and Regional Economy
MP Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for FedNor, announced significant federal funding for the Centre for Research and Innovation in the Bio-Economy (CRIBE) to support Canada’s forestry sector amid ongoing international tariff pressures. Speaking from Thunder Bay, Hajdu emphasized the $1.7 million investment as a strategic move to help diversify forest products, strengthen regional manufacturing clusters, and protect jobs in northern Ontario.
