First Responders Face Off in Charity Hockey Game | Rogers tv
Police and firefighters hit the ice in the annual Battle of the Badges, bringing a friendly rivalry to the rink while raising money for local non-profits. The RCMP edged out Lloydminster Fire Rescue 4-3 in overtime, scoring the game-winner with just 20 seconds left. The event raised $8,000 in support of Inclusion Lloydminster and Border City Connects, and approximately 900 pounds of food for The Olive Tree and The Salvation Army.
