Students pack "Meal in a Bag" kits for Lloydminster's unhoused | Rogers tv

Students at École St. Thomas Elementary are learning that kindness can make a real difference in their community. As part of the Kindess Wins initiative, a Grade 2 class spent several weeks preparing "Meal in a Bag" kits filled with items like oatmeal and soup for people experiencing homelessness. The project was supported by community partners, including representatives from Lloydminster and Vermilion for Equity and the Men's Shelter, who visited the classroom to talk with students about homelessness and the importance of compassion. The meal kits will be distributed through local outreach efforts to help people in need across the Lloydminster area.
