Meridian Source Moves to Digital-Only Format | Rogers tv
The Meridian Source is moving to a fully digital format, marking the end of print delivery in Lloydminster. For some in the community, the weekly paper has been part of a long-standing routine, arriving on doorsteps and keeping residents connected. As the shift to digital continues, some say not everyone is making that transition easily. Care aide Monica Baron says many seniors rely on the physical paper, and may face various challenges accessing news online. Meanwhile, the papers says the move is neccesary due to rising costs. To help with the transition, the Meridian Source will host an in-person session at the Legacy Centre on April 9th from 9:30-11:30 am, where staff will guide seniors on how to access and navigate the paper online. The change reflects a broader shift happening across the news industry, as local outlets adapt to a digital future while working to maintain their connection to the communities they serve.
