Alzheimer Society Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma Minds in Motion
Offered by the Alzheimer's Society in Sault Ste. Marie, Minds in Motion is a program that combines physical activity, and mental and social stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their care partners. The program offers a great environment to establish new friendships with others who are living with similar experiences. Persons living with dementia are at an increased risk of social isolation and cognitive decline. This program activation and socialization in a group setting supports a feeling of connection within the community.
