Medicine Hat Police Test Drone for Safety and Faster Emergency Response
Medicine Hat Police Service has completed a three-day drone pilot project to explore how remotely piloted drone could improve emergency response and provide officers with real-time intelligence. During operational testing, drone was deployed 19 times, reaching scenes before officers in 12 cases. While some residents support the technology's potential safety benefits, others have raised concerns about privacy and surveillance. Police say community feedback and pilot results will help shape the future use of drones in Medicine Hat.
