Saamis Teepee Dance Floor Revitalization Underway in Medicine Hat
A partnership between the City of Medicine Hat and Miywasin Friendship Centre is helping revitalize the Saamis Teepee dance floor, an important gathering place for Indigenous culture, learning and community connection.
The project includes upgrades to the dance floor and surrounding area to support future cultural programming, dancing and community events while preserving the site for generations to come.
Construction is expected to wrap up by early August, with an opening ceremony and Miywasin Demo powpow planned for September 19.
