Victoria Tree Appreciation Day
City of Victoria arborists held a hands-on tree and native species planting demonstration for the public and local school children at Victoria West Park.
The event celebrates tree appreciation day and is an annual community event and environmental initiative held to promote urban forest health, support climate action, and engage residents in greening their neighborhoods.
Trees are a vital part of Victoria's biodiversity, with approximately 34,000 to 38,000 trees maintained by the City in parks and along boulevards.
