Local Artworks Found at Penticton Value Village
Hundreds of artworks once donated to support the Penticton Art Gallery were recently discovered for sale at a local Value Village, sparking criticism from artists, donors and community members. Former PAG employee Paul Crawford says the controversy is less about the decision to part with the pieces and more about how the gallery handled them. The gallery has acknowledged communication shortcomings and says works deemed suitable for future fundraising were retained.
