Penticton City Council Votes on Tiny Homes Proposal
On December 2nd, 2025, council voted 4-2 in opposition of a proposal that would see the development of 50 tiny homes to help battle homelessness in the community. The proposal caused a divide in the community, as many groups came together to sign petitions for and against the proposal. With this decision, the city will lose funding from the province of British Columbia, leaving city tax dollars to fund new solutions.
