Mobile Support Returns to Penticton
Penticton’s mobile harm-reduction services are back on the streets. The Penticton Overdose Prevention Society (P+OPS), in partnership with the Penticton and Area Access Centre, have launched the new Mobile Integrated Service Centre.
This mobile service offers overdose prevention, survival supplies, drug-checking, and one-on-one resource navigation. For many, it’s the first step on the path to recovery, removing barriers like transportation, appointments, and stigma.
With the recent rejection of 50 proposed tiny homes, the need for accessible support in Penticton has become even more urgent. The Mobile Integrated Service Centre aims to fill that gap as it meets people in crucial moments and connects them to the help they need.
