Medicine Hat City Council Urges Alberta Government to Pause Changes to AISH

79,000 people who rely on Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) will be automatically transferred into the province’s new initiative, called the Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP).  AISH will still exist for those who are severely disabled but they will have to re-apply and be approved by a medical review panel.
