Region Migrates to Next-Gen 911
The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has successfully migrated its fire dispatch system to Next Generation 911, moving from aging analog infrastructure to a modern internet-based emergency communications network. The change is largely invisible to residents today, but it lays the groundwork for future services like real-time text messaging to 911, enhanced caller location data, and improved emergency coordination.
