Local avalanche forecaster Simon Horton shares up-to-date snowpack conditions in the Kootenays, and discusses the initiative 'State of the Snowpack' which runs monthly gatherings in mountain towns across the Kootenays, in an effort to keep people informed and reduce the chances of avalanche related deaths.
