A Trail-Warfield Amalgamation Study Is Now Live And Looking For Resident Participation
After a sustainability study undertaken by the Village of Warfield in 2025, the village approached the City of Trail to begin talks on amalgamation. With help and guidance from Neilson Strategies, an amalgamation study is now underway, with the goal of educating residents on what amalgamation would mean, plus answering any questions that may arise while investigating the possibilites and challenges associated with the two municipalities merging into one. The study will be ongoing through 2026, and into next year, with the final recomendations from the study's findings going to both communities councils for consideration on moving forward in the fall of 2027.
