Tory visits Scott Wollin at home in Keswick to talk about his experience with dating as a person with a disability in a town of 30 thousand people and a public transit system that stops at 6 pm.  Oda heads to the Corner Comedy Club in Toronto to meet comedian Blair Williams, who uses comedy to raise awareness about difficult and taboo topics. Tory visits with Gary and Kristy Luker in Stoney Creek. Twenty-two years ago Gary and Kristy got married in the hospital after Gary broke his neck six days before their wedding. They share their fertility journey after spinal cord injury.

    Nancy Xia sustained a spinal cord injury in 2003. She produces and develops video content for Cortree, SCIO’s education platform, which connects her with newly injured people and other members of the disability community. Nancy also helps people in the Mandarin community with peer support.

    Oda Al-anizi (he/him) works at Spinal Cord Injury Ontario. As a wheelchair user for over two decades, Oda is passionate about inclusion, independence, and advocacy for disability rights. He lives in Toronto and enjoys jazz music, watching films on the big screen, and hand biking.

    Tory Bowman (she/her) lives in Simcoe County with her family and two rascally cats. Tory has worked in the field of disability services for almost 20 years. Her goal is to build an inclusive and accessible world where everyone can thrive – even when we are underestimated.
