Crown Villa Mobile Home Park in Vernon to Lose Power on April 10th
Technical Safety BC (TSBC) has kept a close eye on the Crown Villa Mobile Home Park since 2021. During their initial investigation, they found major safety concerns having to do with the electric box, which is wooden. Five years later, residents of the park have been informed that on April 10th, their power will be shut off indefinitely until park landlord Carol Goldstone does the necessary rennovations. Recently, Goldstone has also received a $55k fine from the Regional Tennancy Branch (RTB), for fa"years of continuous and deliberate non-compliance".
Lisa Cantafio-Anderson is now looking for ways to keep her family in their home. Whether it's getting her own quote, bringing in a gas fireplace, or fighting for everyone in the park, she's committed to staying where she is.
