Medicine Hat - Heart of the Horse & Indigenous Horse Relay Racing at the Exhibition & Stampede
The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede celebrates this weekend with 2 exciting events!
Friday to Sunday - Heart of the Horse is a world class horse expo featuring Pat Parelli, world renowned horse trainer, and Amber Marshall, star of Heartland. Plus there is so much to see with a colt-starting competition, horse training demos, tradeshow, Canada’s Top Ranch Horse Competition, and much more!
Saturday & Sunday - In Indian Relay Racing, teams of riders race around the track and switch out horses every lap. Teams compete for $50,000 and to qualify for a spot at next summer’s Calgary Stampede. Plus there is indigenous food to sample and an indigenous artisan market and tradeshow.
