80+ Hockey Hall of Fame Honours Lifelong Players in London & Area
When the puck drops and Al Loughery gets on the ice, he’s often the oldest player out there.
There will now be a way to honour players like Al in London and area, with the 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame. Started in Ottawa in 2011 the it has since expanded to cities across Canada and recognizes players and builders that continue with hockey beyond their 80th birthday. Chair of the London induction ceremony Lori Anne McNulty wanted a way to honour her father-in-law who still plays at 80 years old, and saw the need to bring the hall to the area.
