Karen Hulan is a Personal Injury Lawyer, Law Society of Ontario Bencher Candidate 2023, Immediate Past President, Middlesex Law Association and a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Karen is a partner at Becket Personal Injury Lawyers. She works in the Plaintiff Injury Group. Karen's practice focuses on representing those injured while in the care of others such as long-term care homes, nursing homes, schools, and daycares as well as people injured in car accidents, slips and falls and other incidents. She is actively involved in her clients' claims for accident benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability and travel insurance benefits. Karen's clients can expect to have the lawsuit and insurance process explained to them in a way that eases the stress of working through a claim. Her objective is to manage her client files in a manner that allows them to focus on their recovery. Before becoming a lawyer, Karen was a high school teacher, graduating from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 and Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Education in 1995. She moved to Ontario in 1996, and has been representing injured people since graduating from Queen's University law school in 2002. Karen completed her articles and practiced on Bay Street until 2006, when she moved to London, Ontario. Continually using her experience as a teacher, Karen often authors papers and presents on topics related to car accident benefits, catastrophic injury, insurance law and lawsuits.
